In the app, open Profile, then Settings. The Manage Subscription row shows your family’s plan, and during the beta it reads “Free in beta”. Tap it to open the subscription screen. Only a parent sees this row; a child’s settings don’t have it.
A subscription is managed by whoever took the payment.
Taken on an iPhone or iPad
Apple manages it. Open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Kākā Math. The app’s subscription screen also has a Manage in the App Store link once you are subscribed. Receipts come from Apple.
Taken on Android
Google Play manages it. Open the Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions. The app’s subscription screen also has a Manage in Google Play link once you are subscribed. Receipts come from Google.
Taken on the website by card
- Go to kakamath.nz/billing.
- Sign in with your parent email address and password.
- Choose Open billing portal to update your card, download invoices or cancel.
If you signed up with Apple or Google and have no password, see Forgot your password to set one first.
If your subscription was taken in an app, the billing page says so and sends you back to your phone’s subscription settings, because only Apple or Google can change it.
When you cancel
Access carries on until the end of the period you have already paid for. Your children’s progress is kept. Cancelling a subscription does not delete anything; to do that, see Delete your account.
Deleting your account cancels a card subscription for you, straight away. It can’t cancel an Apple or Google Play one, so cancel that in the store first.
For a refund or a charge you don’t recognise, contact us. Apple and Google handle refunds for their own purchases, and we can’t issue those directly.
