Yes. Kākā Math is in beta and every feature is free while it is. We are not collecting payment details and there is nothing to cancel.
We will move to $10 a month or $100 a year in NZD. We will let existing families know well before that happens — you will not wake up to a charge you did not agree to.
Up to 5 children on one family account, on every plan. Each child gets their own year level, their own progress and their own rewards.
Yes. There will be no lock-in contracts. Once paid plans launch you will be able to cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
Yes. Kākā Math is built specifically for New Zealand students. Every lesson, question and learning pathway is aligned to the NZ Mathematics curriculum, from Year 1 through to NCEA Level 3.
Never. Our AI tutor uses the Socratic method — it asks guiding questions to help students discover solutions themselves. That builds genuine understanding, not the ability to copy an answer.
Kākā Math is an iOS app for iPhone and iPad, with an Android version in development. The parent dashboard works in any web browser.
