The games are under Explore, then Mini Games. They drill the number facts that lessons rely on.
Each game earns between 1 and 12 Feathers: 5 for playing, plus a few for quick answers, lives kept and no mistakes. Children in Year 5 and up earn a little less per game. A harder setting earns more points for the leaderboard, not more Feathers. The games don’t add Altitude, which comes from lessons, but a finished game counts towards the day’s streak.
Times Table Challenge
Pick which tables to practise, from 1 to 12, or a preset such as the tricky ones (6 to 9). Then answer as many as possible against the clock, with three lives. The clock gets quicker as your child goes.
Answers can be typed, or spoken with Voice Input, which uses the phone’s own speech recognition.
Kākā Munchers
A grid of numbers and a target. Your child moves the Kākā around the grid and munches every number that is a multiple of the target, across five rounds. A wrong munch costs a life, and from round two a stoat gives chase. A tips screen explains the divisibility rules that make it easier.
Connect the Dots
Solve a question, then tap the dot with the answer to draw the next line of a mystery shape. Watch out for decoy dots.
