Both live on your child’s Nest, the first screen they see.
Quick Review
Quick Review is a short set of questions your child found hard before: ones they got wrong, needed three tries at, or used two or more hints on. Older misses come first, so earlier work comes back before it fades, and a couple of questions they haven’t met yet from the same topics can be mixed in. The card says how many questions are waiting and which topics they come from.
A question your child has already got right earns a quarter of its usual Feathers, so the bigger rewards stay with new work. One they have missed before but never got right earns its full reward if they get it right first time now. Tries are counted afresh each time a question comes back, and so are hints.
Daily Forage
Each day the Nest sets one goal, for example:
- complete one lesson,
- answer 20 questions,
- get 5 in a row right on the first try,
- finish a lesson without using any hints.
Meeting it pays a Feather bonus, between 10 and 40 depending on the goal, and the card shows it as foraged for the rest of the day.
“In a row” means right on the first try, one after another. A wrong first answer starts the count again.
When there is a weekly plan
While a child is on a weekly plan, the Quick Review card is hidden: today’s practice already brings back questions from earlier weeks. The Daily Forage changes too. On a practice day it is “Finish today’s practice”, worth 15 Feathers, once one of the week’s lessons has been started. On a session day with a weekend check to do it is “Do the weekend check”, worth 20. On any other day the usual goal returns.
The same applies to your own learner profile if you learn alongside. While a plan is paused, Quick Review and the usual Daily Forage come back.
Continue Learning
A lesson your child started and left part way shows under Continue Learning, newest first, with a ring for how much of it they have done. Tap one to pick it up again. Once every lesson they started is finished, the row goes away.
Strengthen Your Foundations
Sometimes the Nest also suggests a lesson from an earlier year that the current work builds on. It is worth following: a gap from an earlier year is often why a new topic feels hard.
