Homework often happens at the kitchen table with your phone, not your child’s. You can run a Cheeky Check from your own screens.
- Open the Scan tab on your parent screens.
- Take or choose the photo, as your child would. See Running a Cheeky Check.
- Under Whose homework is this?, choose the child. With one child, the app picks them for you and doesn’t ask. The list has only your children. If you have your own learning profile, it isn’t in it.
- Tap Check it.
Kākā pitches its explanation at that child’s year level.
The check stays in your own Previous Snaps, marked with the child it was for. It isn’t in your child’s own Previous Snaps, and if you tap Go Back while Kākā works, the notification comes to your phone, not theirs. Cheeky Check never earns Feathers or counts towards a streak, for a child or for you, so it is help, not a shortcut to rewards.
The results read the same as on your child’s screens (see Reading what Kākā says back), with one difference: there is no Revise this topic button, because a parent account has no Learn tab.
